The goal of the LPS library is for all students to develop a love of literature. Through the author studies, stations, and thematic studies, the Lewisburg Primary Library will strive to reach students' goals in improving reading skills.

If I can ever be of assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Welcome to the LPS Library

My name is Judi Stewart.  I graduated in 1994 from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education.  I received my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language Arts in 1996 from the University of Mississippi.  I received my Library Media National Board Certification in 2018.

I taught second grade for sixteen years before making the move to the library.  This is my 31st year of teaching.   I am blessed to be a part of the LPS family.

My daughter, Merrill, recently graduated from Mississippi State University.  She lives in Jackson, Mississippi, and is getting married in March.  She enjoys taking care of the animals on my parent's farm, The Office, and hanging out with her friends.  My son, William, is a senior at the University of Memphis.  William played football for the Northwest Rangers!  The Rangers were the 2020 MACCC and Junior College National Champs and the 2021 MACCC champs. He signed with the University of Memphis Tigers. He completed his second season with the Memphis Tigers. He loves cooking, fishing, and playing football.

I am a huge Mississippi State Bulldog fan!  Nothing makes me happier than watching my Dawgs play.  Now I am pulling for the Memphis Tigers. You will find me in the stands for each and every game cheering the team to victory.  I also am an avid reader!  I love to discover new authors to enjoy.  Not only do I read books written for someone as old as I am, I love to discover new books for my LPS kiddos!  My prayer is that they will develop a love of reading that will last a lifetime!

Magnolia

MAGNOLIA is a project funded by the Mississippi Legislature that provides online research databases for all Mississippians through publicly funded schools, libraries, community colleges, universities, and state agencies.

MAGNOLIA provides students across the state access to reliable, academic peer-reviewed journals and curated age-appropriate content not available through public searches.

Strong Readers

State law requires Mississippi public schools to assess the reading skills of students in kindergarten through grade 3 at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year. Schools administer a screener to determine students’ reading ability. Find out more information about your child's score at the Strong Readers, Strong Leaders website. Parents/guardians are also encouraged to use the activities and information on the website to help their children become strong readers.

Abdo Digital Book Shelf

Abdo Digital Bookshelf provides a fun way for early readers to engage with delightful stories and interesting nonfiction ebooks.  Visit the Anywhere eBooks, Read-to-Me eBooks, Interactive eBooks, and Databases—for free on one central bookshelf account.
