About the Teacher

Hi & welcome! I am known by my 1st graders as Mrs. Burns. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi. Hotty Toddy! This is my 15th  year teaching in DeSoto County. #TeamDCS

I am originally from Brandon, MS. My husband and I have made Olive Branch our home and love it here! We have two active boys, Cooper (12) and Taylor (10) .

I am very excited about getting to know a new group of students and their families! First grade is my absolute favorite grade!! We are going to have a fun and successful year with your child. Please feel free to contact me any time.
