About the Teacher/Welcome Msg
I graduated from Southaven High School in 2007 and then attended University of Mississippi where I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education.
This is my 10th year teaching! I was an assistant teacher for three years, and I taught third grade for three years at Southaven Intermediate School. This is my fourth year at Lewisburg Primary School teaching Kindergarten!
My name is Lacey Weaver, and I was born in Memphis Tennessee. I grew up in Southaven, MS. I attended Greenbrook Elementary, Southaven Middle School, and graduated from Southaven High School in 2007. I'm a third generation educator! My grandmother is a retired teacher from Memphis City Schools, and my mother is a teacher for STEAM Academy. Teaching is in my blood. :)
After graduating from high school, I went to Northwest Community College. After one year at NWCC, I went to Baptist College of Health Sciences. I attended Baptist College of Health Sciences for three years until I realized my true purpose in life. After those four years of college, I had to find a job which I found at Southaven Intermediate School. I was a 3rd grade teacher’s assistant for three years at Southaven Intermediate School. When I started working as a teacher’s assistant, I knew that being a teacher was what God had in store for my life. I realized that I can still take care of people by being a teacher. I can show children what matters most, teach them skills and hobbies, teach them strong and respectable manners, and provide a loving and safe environment for them. I have a passion for teaching.
I am happily married to my husband Taylor, and we absolutely love our 5 year old daughter Lyla and 3 year old son Coleman. We currently live in Southaven, and in my spare time I like to spend time with my family, watch movies, shop, and read.
